Job Summary:

The Contractual Clinician provides home and community-based behavioral health services such as assessment, triage, and treatment to individuals diagnosed with mental illnesses who may also have co-occurring substance use disorders. In addition, the Contractual Clinician will also complete intakes and provide case management services where needed. Clinicians may be subject to work extended hours and weekends.

Essential Functions:
    Conduct intakes and admissions to facilitate access to services.
  • Perform diagnostic evaluations and assessments of strengths, needs, functional impairments, and symptoms at regular intervals to ensure services are individualized and appropriate for the individual's level of care.
  • In partnership and using the trauma-informed care and recovery-based perspective Clinician creates and regularly reviews treatment plans to ensure services continue to be appropriate and optimal.
  • Provide therapeutic treatment services and/or interventions such as, but not limited to; skills training, psychoeducation, psychotherapy (individual, family, and/or group), crisis services, case management, and linkages and referrals.
  • Document in a timely, accurate, and complete manner that meet regulatory policies including, but not limited to, Southwest Key Programs, licensing, and funding source guidelines.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality laws, policies, and regulations always.
  • Respond to corrections or actions needed for the purpose of submitting clean and accurate billing.
  • Support the establishment of a cohesive multi-systemic alliance among community stakeholders.
  • Submit invoice for payment for contracted services rendered timely with the respective documentation.
  • Attend scheduled supervision meetings with the immediate supervisor.
  • With timely requests attend training, workshops, and meetings.
  • Be in good standing with the respective licensing board.
  • Maintain updated and accurate information that pertains to credentialing.
  • Other duties as assigned or required.
Other Functions:
  • Maintain open, consistent, and effective communication with program staff and supervisor.
  • Maintain all required trainings and certifications.
  • Able to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as assigned.
  • Able to work weekends and evenings as required and/or needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Required:

  • Bilingual in English/Spanish.
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree with a specialization in Human/Behavioral/Social Services or related fields is required.
  • Licensed in the respective field (to include, but not limited to: LPC, LMSW, CSW, LMFT).
  • Must obtain professional malpractice liability insurance.
  • Must possess a valid Texas driver's license, and registration, and maintain state-mandated car insurance.
  • Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Windows (Microsoft Word, Excel), and a variety of online database systems.
  • Possess good verbal and writing skills.
  • Clear background check from appropriate entity.

Preferred:

  • Two to three (2-3) years of training or experience.
  • Experience working with community-based programs, treatment facilities, and/or direct practical experience with children and family therapy.
Physical Demands:

Must be able to obtain First Aid Certification (CPR). Must be able to verify client's whereabouts by driving, sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time. Daily use of various office equipment required. Bending, stooping, climbing upstairs, and lifting to 15 lbs. as required to complete daily tasks.

Work Environment:

This is a program that requires daily contact with clients. Work shifts are subject to change. Noise levels vary from mild to moderate. This position may require extended periods of time in an automobile. Exposed to prevalent weather conditions.
