THIS IS FOR A FUTURE OPENING

HR Generalist

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

* Manage all leave of absences, short term disability, long-term disability, and worker's compensation claims

* Point of contact for initiating LOA, for FMLA, STD and worker's compensation claims

* Interprets and clarifies LOA policies and addresses inquiries from employees, managers and Human Resource Generalist

* Analyzes STD/FMLA claims to determine eligibility in compliance with state and federal regulations

* Track absences and communicate return to work information to employees, supervisors, and managers

* Manage all invoicing processes and reconcile received payments for all benefit related contributions and premium payments for employees on leave

* Work cross-functionally with other HR Generalists

* Assist with employee relations matters in collaboration with HR Generalists

* Serves as staff support for various special projects and/or events


Required Experience

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

* Minimum of 2-5 years of progressive human resources generalist experience with broad knowledge of human resources operations, employee relations compliance and benefits.

* Prior federal government contractor experience a strong plus.

REQUIRED EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administrator or related discipline preferred.

* Human resources certificate or PHR certification preferred.
