Responsibilities

The ideal candidate possesses the ability to consistently perform the following job duties with excellence:

  • Support 1 to 4 centers onsite and/or remotely.
  • Conduct and train Tier 1 and Tier 2 Patient Service Specialist new hire orientations. Distribute any new policy or procedure for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Patient Service Specialist.
  • Responsible for all month end procedures including completion and insurance that all patient notes, patient charges, patient co-pays are up to date, collected and correct. This process is very detailed oriented and crucial in order to find any mistakes or missed documentation.
  • Adjustment journal review and responsible for decreasing clinic(s) bad debt.
  • Warmly greet every patient with eye contact, a smile, and a positive statement.
  • Conduct and manage verifications, authorizations, Aetna unit tracking, daily close and service que management.
  • Thoughtfully schedule patient appointments in person or over the phone by showing empathy for their needs and limitations.
  • Complete the benefit information sheet for all new patients.
  • Respond to requests for information from patients, providers, and coworkers in a timely manner and with a positive attitude.
  • Ability to problem solve by providing resolution for various situations.
  • Offer a fond farewell, providing any pertinent information about their next appointment.
  • Show you are a team player who is committed to excellence by assisting your peers with general clinic maintenance and upkeep.

Schedule:

  • Center Location: Owings Mills, MD
  • Type of Employment: Full Time
  • Hours: 3 day shift with the potential for Saturdays (1 evening until 7:30)
  • Salary: Starting at $16/hour (Pending experience)
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Health care experience
  • Previous leader experience
  • 1 Year of Medical Office Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 Year of Scheduling Experience
  • 1 year of Front Desk Experience
  • Ability to travel to multiple locations.
  • Experience and ability to train others.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of medical billing, scheduling, and documentation systems
