Within Human Resources, the HR Systems and Operations Engineering Team strives to create and deliver a seamless and positive experience for stakeholders interfacing with HR technology and processes at scale. Leading with care and empathy, the team develops and implements efficient and simple people processes and systems to enhance the experience of Relativians.
The Manager, HR Operations Engineering will be responsible for the creation and ownership of all HR operational processes for immigration, compliance, and project management programs. They will drive the strategy behind business workflows and automation designed for Human Resources. The HR Operations Engineering Manager will ensure successful delivery of all team projects and initiatives through coaching and mentorship to their team.

This position reports to the Director, HR Systems & Operations Engineering. We are open to Chicago-based and remote candidates for this role.
Your Role in Action
  • Support, coach, and develop team members of the HR Operations Engineering team, Total Rewards in achieving personal development and business goals.
  • Design and delivery of a strategic Operations Engineering roadmap for the internal business workflows related to HR Immigration and Compliance management.
  • Develop and deploy new operational programs in support of Relativity HR's strategic direction.
  • Create, monitor, and address key operational metrics to help enable a continuous improvement focused team.
  • Leverage tools, technology, and partner with People Data Science team to automate workflows in support of user experience and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure best practices are established and adhered to across HR Operations Engineering as it pertains to business workflows, project management, and application usage and administration.
  • Act as the liaison for the HR Systems and Operations Engineering Team for certain technology contracts, including but not limited to, procurement and renewals.
  • Responsible for the maturation of programs as they reach milestones and partner with HR business stakeholders on business impact.
  • Responsible for prioritizing stakeholder work, focusing on delivering HR-critical solutions.
  • Lead stakeholder negotiations with cross-functional teams championing internal customer objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Alteast 5 years of relevant work experience that encompasses immigration processing and management and compliance programs including working knowledge of GDPR, and data privacy as it relates to work data
  • Working knowledge of HR systems, processes, trends, and best practices.
  • Good knowledge and handling of project and program management methodologies and techniques.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with a passion for helping others learn and grow.
  • Experience with change management and transformation including having worked with a wide range of individuals.
  • Ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of Jira project and/or Jira service desk.
  • Agile certification - CSM or PSM.
  • SHRM or HRCI certified.
  • Previous experience as a People Manager.
Compensation
  • Relativity is committed to competitive, fair, and equitable compensation practices.
  • This position is eligible for total compensation which includes a competitive base salary, an annual performance bonus target of 10%, and long-term incentives. The expected salary range for this role is between $107,000 and $161,000.
  • The final offered salary will be based on several factors, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, qualifications, and internal pay equity. Hiring at the top end of the range would not be typical, to allow for future meaningful salary growth in this position
