Lab Technician III (Beverage)

The Lab Technician III is responsible for executing beverage projects in the lab, maintaining GMP lab condition, and working closely with Food Scientists and Technologists to support all active beverage projects.
  • Independently benchtop development of product formulations and prototypes.
  • Ensure lab and equipment cleanliness at all times including storage room.
  • Assists in preparing and shipping prototypes to customers.
  • Maintains lab equipment and ensures they are all in good working conditions at all times.
  • Maintains lab supplies and ensures available supplies at all times.
  • Coordinates tasting session.
  • Sets up flavors and other ingredients for screening and evaluation.
  • Independently operate different equipment in the lab to make prototypes/samples.
  • Perform analytical tests to validate product attributes.
  • Create PO's and submit invoices.
  • Ability to develop SOP's that are comprehendible to team members.
  • Provide recommendation/discrepancies with lab work.
  • Provide lab safety training for new team members and visitors.
  • Understand and follow plant safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe machine operation.
  • Able to communicate and work well with people on all levels in the organization.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Qualifications:
    • 4 Years - Experience in Food Industry or Laboratory environment
    • 4 Years - Experience in Product Development

  • Preferred Qualifications:
    • 6 Years- Experience in Food Industry or Laboratory environment
    • 6 Years - Experience working in Product Development
    • 2 Years - Experience managing people/projects

Education

  • Minimum Required:
    • High School Diploma
  • Strongly Preferred:
    • Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Food Engineer, Biology, Micro Biology, Chemistry, or other related field

Typical Compensation Range

Pay Rate Type: Hourly

$30.85 - $44.74 / Hourly
