Job Description
- Work on-site full-time at the customer site to perform network security appliance cutovers.
- Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, peers, engineering, and support teams as necessary.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the customer's environment, requirements, and security roadmap to deploy the appropriate security solution.
- Configure, implement and maintain Security Operating Platforms.
- Optimize and migrate policies and objects from the existing environment to our Next-Gen Firewall.
- Test and validate the migration environment to ensure seamless transitions.
- Coordinate and execute cutovers to production while guiding code upgrades.
- Facilitate the development of new applications and threat signatures.
- Interact with our Technical Assistance Center (TAC) to understand and diagnose support cases.
- Occasionally travel based on customer requests,
- Collaborate with the customer's security and network teams to instill confidence across impacted business units during implementation.
- Implement network segment controls aligning with NIST and RMF frameworks.
- Validate and implement proof of concepts in lab environments.
- Provide technical implementation and strategy support to the customer, effectively communicating engineering details to C-suite executives.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, business, or equivalent education/training/experience
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with network and security solutions and technologies, including routing and switching, security operations, virtual machines, and hypervisors
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining security solutions in large-scale production environments
- Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration, and operation of high-end firewall appliances, specifically with Palo Alto Networks products
- Proficient in troubleshooting network issues across LAN and WAN
- Experience with cloud providers, including AWS, GCP, or Azure, is beneficial
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, CNSE, JNCIE-SEC, and/or PCNSA/E are required
- Must have a DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliant Certification (Sec+, CCNA Security, CISSP, etc.)
- Strong verbal communication skills, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a customer-facing environment
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with both senior leaders and technical peers
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work calmly under high-pressure situations
- Project leadership experience with the ability to drive organizations and resources to complete required tasks in service of end goals
