STV is actively seeking anElectronic Security Systems Engineering Specialistfor various locations to be a part of our Transportation and Infrastructure Division. The ideal candidate will be an Electrical & Electronics Engineer interested in working in a challenging environment supporting the deployment of communication and control systems in complex environments, with an emphasis on Electronics Security Systems (ESS) including Digital Video Surveillance Systems (DVSS) and Electronic Access Control Systems (EACS).

You also willhave the opportunity to learn both in the office and in the field from engineers and security consultants experienced in system design elements including fiber optic and copper cabling design, low voltage electrical distribution systems, conduit infrastructure, SONET and IP networks, RF design for voice and data communications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing construction contract drawings and specifications for Electronic Security Systems (ESS)

  • Develop and maintain an understanding of Cybersecurity-Related concerns within ESS systems and equipment,

  • Pursue knowledge of the application of emerging physical security technologies including but not limited to sensors, biometrics, video analytics and other machine learning (ML)/Artificial Intelligence (AI) ad their potential applications to a varying set of client needs and problem statements.

  • Gaining knowledge in applicable codes, accepted engineering practices, and government standards.

  • Assists Sr. Engineers in the development of technical papers, reports, and calculations.

  • Generates proposals, reports, and presentations for key audiences.

  • Development of cost estimates for equipment and installation.

  • Conduct DVSS camera coverage simulations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (PSP, RCCD considered).

  • AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience.

  • BIM/REVIT experience is preferred.

  • Bluebeam Revue and Studio Experience is preferred.

  • Demonstrated initiative, drive, communication, & interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to problem solve, particularly in team-based environments.

  • Excellent organization and planning skills - document control and reporting.

  • Experience with Micosoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.

  • Self-motivated, must work well with others.

  • Candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication.

Compensation Range:

$90,174.00 - $117,840.00
