Since the workshop's founding in 1960, Tamarind's printer training and print publishing program has set the standard in the field of collaborative printmaking around the world
Tamarind is a rare program within the University, combining a nonprofit educational center with a competitive artist residency and print publishing program. Students who work at Tamarind gain insight into a dynamic gallery operation with high standards of collection care, preservation, and scholarship. Tamarind is seeking two UNM students Tuesday through Thursday in two shifts from 9 a.m. -1 p.m. and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. to staff the gallery, greet visitors, and assist with public programs. With supervision from the gallery staff (including business manager, curator, gallery director and director), the student employees engage in the daily operation of the gallery; they assist in artist research, maintain current database records and mailing lists, engage gallery visitors, and lead quarterly tours of the workshop.

Knowledge of the arts is a plus
Experience with WordPress is a plus
Familiarity with marketing software
Familiarity with social media platforms
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
Must have a passion for marketing and social media
