Position Summary
The School of Liberal Arts is looking for part-time faculty who can teach at least one course per semester and has experience teaching Beginning ASL. Candidate must be experienced in Online teaching in a synchronous and asynchronous virtual environment.

Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: assessing student progress in meeting the learning objectives through formal and informal assessment, meeting required deadlines for submitting grades, attendance, and other information, as requested, and adhering to safety procedures and departmental standards.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree and a minimum 2 years of ASL full-time professional experience
Strong foundation of ASL and ASL pedagogy
Extensive knowledge of Deaf culture
Familiarity with the Signing Naturally curriculum
Familiarity with GoReact
Preferred Qualifications:
M.A. in ASL or related field ASLTA certification (American Sign Language Teachers Association) or ASLPI score of 4.0 or higher (American Sign Language Proficiency Interview)
3 years ASL teaching experience
Familiarity with Canvas platform
