Job Description

We are seeking aResearch Program Coordinatorwho will identify, recruit, enroll and follow-up with patients in Ophthalmology clinical trials. Conduct eligibility screenings for potential study participants, with principal investigator consultation. Obtain informed consent from study participants. Enroll and follow-up with patients in clinical trials. Coordinate patient care and visits based on study protocols. Perform ophthalmic tech activities as they relate to the studies: confocal microscopy, corneal sensitivity, contrast sensitivity, and vision testing.


Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide patient education on eye conditions and related diseases.
  • Perform accurate and timely data collection on source documents and case report forms. Ensure proper labeling and delivery of photographs, scans and laboratory specimens.
  • Monitor study participants for adverse events.
  • Provide follow-up of patients regarding side effects, medical history questions and information relative to conduct of clinical trials.
  • Communicate all necessary information to sponsors and IRB.
  • Provide information regarding clinical trials for patients and families, referring physicians, faculty and staff. Assist principal investigator with preparation of study documents required for study approval and renewal.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in related discipline.

  • Additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Clinical trial experience a strong additional plus.

Starting Salary Range: $17.00 - $30.00 HRLY (Commensurate with experience)
