Taking a client centric approach, the Marketing Specialist II develops strategy and coordinates execution at assigned Manheim locations and partners with the Senior Manager, Marketing or Manager, Marketing and auction leadership to meet the goals of both the auctions and our clients. This role manages multiple initiatives and works in alignment with the Manheim Marketing team, field sales, and auction leadership to ensure that marketing efforts ladder up to and meet the overall goals of the business.

This role will support at least two Manheim operating locations and reports to the Senior Manager, Marketing or Manager, Marketing and has zero to two direct reports. Candidate must be able to operate in a fast paced and ever evolving environment.

What You'll Do :

  • Works in partnership with Senior Manager, Marketing/Manager, Marketing, Manheim Marketing team, auction leadership, and field sales to develop local marketing strategy that aligns with location goals and objectives.
  • Drives development and implementation of marketing tactics, event sales, sale day experience, and drives adoption of marketing best practices and alignment of the Manheim brand.
  • Functions as a member of the leadership team from both a marketing and location perspective.
  • Assesses campaign performance, client feedback, and identifies marketing ROI and reports results to Senior Manager, Marketing/Manager, Marketing and other key stakeholders.
  • Builds relationships with key dealer and commercial sellers as well as stakeholders across the operating locations and field sales team.
  • Coordinates and manages initiatives alongside field sales including blitzes and new seller welcome campaigns.
  • Oversees overall presence of assigned location ensuring physical and digital signage and other point of sale materials are properly placed and visible to clients and aligns to the Manheim brand.
  • Leads a team of zero to two physical and/or remote team members and manages performance regularly for growth and learning opportunities. Develops and motivates talent with ID&E at the forefront.
  • Assists in managing marketing budget, and ensures plans are delivered within allocated investment.
  • Partners with design resources to coordinate creative needs within Manheim brand guidelines and manages local vendor relationships.
  • Cross trained and designated as the backup for any team member while employee is out of the office.
  • Travels to sister locations as required, with the expectation of two times a year minimum.
  • Lead direct reports in employee development, weekly 1:1s and working within the team to create efficiencies.
  • Performs other duties assigned by auctions or Manheim Marketing as needed.

Minimum:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and 2 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as a master's degree and up to 2 years' experience; or 6 years' experience in a related field.
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work in a high performing, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to an ever-changing industry and react to change in a positive manner.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
  • Some travel may be required to Manheim locations, regional meetings, and/or home office.
  • The ability to meet the physical demands of working at a Manheim auction location, including ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions as well as noise, dust, and fumes in auction lanes, being able to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical movements such as stooping, bending, reaching and climbing stairs.


Preferred:

  • Degree in marketing, business, or advertising preferred.
  • Team leadership experience.
  • Marketing strategy, data analysis, tactical execution, digital and traditional marketing, and project management skills.
  • Proven success in developing and growing client relationships and supporting their business goals and objectives.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/programs at once.
  • Strong ability to build campaign strategy, execute via multiple channels, and analyze data.
  • Budget management skills
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM platform

USD 64,200.00 - 96,400.00 per year

Compensation:

Compensation includes a base salary of $64,200.00 - $96,400.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.
